Abbey Barn Park

Notes: Against a lot of apprehension, and so little to go on, I have decided that this map might show a rough position of this site within the UK. Any advice on this will be much appreciated.

ABBEY BARN PARK: Temporary airfield

Location: In/near Bledlow, Roughly 8nm NW of High Wycombe town centre

Period of operation: 20th April 1918

NOTES: Mr B C Hucks landed a DH.9 here and gave a series of flying displays. The visit was arranged by Mr George Holt Thomas, (owner of Airco and local resident), to show the town’s workers an example of a finished aeroplane they had worked on.
