NOTE:

The sixth picture shows the proximity of this site with the ABERPORTH, now WEST WALES AIRPORT. The first six pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©. The local area and area views are from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location:  Just NW of Aberporth town centre, about 1.5nm N of West Wales Airport

Period of operation:  Unknown?  Still operational in 2023

NOTES:  We have Mr Mark Taylor to thank for pointing out this location. And very interesting it is too in some respects, not least because a zoomed in inspection on Google Earth reveals what might be a multitude of potential helipad sites across the facility. However, trawling across it, and zoomed in, I can only find three helipads marked out. And indeed, probably only two used most of the time?

In the 2006 picture, Helipad Three is not marked. And, the 2021 picture appears to show Helipad One now being disused. In the greater scheme of things none of this much matters, as the primary purpose of this 'Guide' is to record the existence of our flying sites.

But, isn't there always a "but", over the last twenty plus years since embarking on this project, I have developed a desire to become an 'anorak'. So, if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be most welcome. Pictures are of course much appreciated.
