Aghadowey

Note: This map should now show the correct position.

AGHADOWEY: Private airstrip or river seaplane site?  Aka MULLAGMORE.

Location: 6nm S of Coleraine

NOTES: This info came from the AAIB report EW/G2009/05/17 when it was reported the Maule MX-7-180C Super Rocket G-OMOL had departed from AGHADOWEY. The problem being it was an amphibian, so - did it depart from water or a private strip?

MORE INFORMATION
In January 2017 I was kindly contacted by Peter Vercruijsse who had this to say: "I think that the Maule came from the nearby airfield Causeway where they have a seaplane docking possibility, and who advertize themselves as "The home of the Ulster Seaplane Association Ltd". http://www.causewayairfield.co.uk/airfield.html
