Location:  S of the A506, about 5nm NNE of Liverpool city centre

Period of operation:  From July 2017

NOTES:  This helipad has been a great success with, by July 2019, over 200 landings recorded.

But, the helipad is marked with a 5 ton weight limit - and - it is on level ground! The stories being exposed of utter incompetence in NHS management in recent years have become legion, and quite rightly. But which ignorant fool set this weight limit?

Helicopters are always becoming much more sophisticated and heavier. But, let's say a major disaster takes place in the region - they happen all the time around the world - and the UK is not exempt. An event whereby the RAF are asked to provide their Chinooks to help. They weigh around ten tons or more - so, would they be denied access? Of course not, and there would be no reason to do so.

However, if this weight limit really is correct, clearly this involves a major scandal and heads need to roll as a result.
