Operated by: Mr R Clark
Note: This airstrip is associated with Roger Clark Motor Sport.

Location: Roughly 1nm E of RAF Desford, and about 5nm W of Leicester

Period of operation: ?

Runway: 18/36   307x9   grass

NOTES: A look at the Google Earth image dated 1999 appears to show evidence of this airstrip.

From 1980 to 1991, the Cessna F182Q Skylane (G-GOOS) was registered to Roger Clark (Air Transport). A 309 metre airstrip is certainly very tight for a 182, but, with 1 PoB and less than half tanks, clearly achievable. Plus of course, Roger Clark would be very happy operating machines right up to the edges of the performance envelope. No doubt  it was kept in peak condition, and, possibly, the engine was tweaked?

If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
