Ancaster

Note: This map only gives a rough position within the UK. For some reason this Landing Ground, and I think it was just that, seems to have escaped readily available sources for extra information. If anybody can kindly assist and offer advice, this will be much appreciated.

ANCASTER: Military aerodrome    (Aka SUDBROOK HOUSE)

Military user: RFC (Royal Flying Corps) only?

Location: 6nm NW of Grantham

Period of operation: WW1 only? Certainly 1917

Runways: All-over grass airfield?
