NOTES:  I have Mr Trevor Sexton to thank for adding this site to the 'Guide'. It is, without any doubt one of the most extraordinary flying sites I have ever come across in the 5000 plus already listed. But why so short lived for a private airfield which had been superbly laid out with such care - a credit to who commisioned the site. At first glance on Google Earth I hadn't realised that a long taxiway existed in the SE corner to the hangar.

Plus it would appear, all for the use of one flexwing microlight? Unusually coloured black or very dark grey. (See fifth picture). This it appears was G-YZYZ, a Mainair Blade 912.

Surely there must be a very interesting story attached to the history of this site? If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be much appreciated. One story was that a Cessna 152 made a visit. It is not known if it had one or two people on board, but, the take-off was described as "interesting".

Black? incognito? I saw a black C130 devoid of any markings in Zaire long ago, it flew daily, no questions asked. This Airfield is on my doorstep, as you say very well laid out, I would love to know more. Incognito Microlight?..in the sticks..?
