ARMSHOLD FARM:  Private airstrip     (Aka GREAT EVERSDEN and KINGSTON)

Location:  1nm NW of Great Eversden, about 6nm SW to WSW of Cambridge town centre

Period of operation:  Late 1990s(?) to -


Runway:  07/25   380   grass 


NOTES:  Does the 2000 picture above, when the hangar had yet to be erected, indicate that this airstrip had only recently been laid out? If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.

In recent years I have often added more pictures of farm strips than are strictly neccessary, simply because the appearance of a strip can change so often, season by season, and year by year depending on the crops being grown. One of the many delights of flying from farm airstrips.

This airstrip may no longer be in use as all buildings, including the hanger and farmhuse were levelled early in 2020. I havn't seen any flight activity there for several years.
