Arundel WW2

Note: This map only shows the postion of Arundel town within the UK. If anybody can kindly give a more exact location, this advice will be much appreciated.

ARUNDEL: Military airstrip

Military user: US First Army     ‘VII’ Corps        951st Field Artillery Battalion

Location: ? Presumably near the town…but where?

Period of operation: 1944/5 only?

NOTES: It appears that two Piper L-4 Grasshoppers were based here. I assume this airstrip was established in the run-up to the D-Day invasion?
