Location:  Just W of Great Dalby village and roughly SSW to SW of Melton Mowbray town centre

Period of operation:  Unknown?

Runway:  Possibly/probably (?)    13/31   555   grass

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', for telling us about an airstrip in this locality.

It appears that Viscount Marmaduke Furness had the Lockheed 12A, G-AEOI, based here from 02/03/37 to 15/12/39.

The Google Earth pictures above simply reflect my idea of where this was located. If anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
