Ashgate

ASHGATE:  Temporary site for an exhibition of flying

Location:  Unknown?   Perhaps in West End Park?  ASHGATE is on the old A52 Ashbourne Road, on the WNW side of Derby city centre

NOTES: It appears that B C Hucks performed exhibitions of flying at ASHGATE, during three days in April 1914, including flying loops - still very much a novelty in those days.

We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide' to thank for finding this information, scant though it is. If anybody can kindly offer more advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
