Ashton Court

ASHTON COURT: Civil mass balloon launching site especially, but, has been used by a very limited number of GA visits

Location: SW of A369, 2nm W of Bristol city centre

Period of operation: 1984 to -    (Events held in early August)

NOTES: Having never found ignorance being a hinderance in expressing an opinion - I do believe that ASHTON COURT consistently hosts the largest annual balloon festivals in the UK? And has done since 1984.

It really is a most spectacular event when the weather is kind - and - even if you cannot make a visit - it is well worth looking up on the internet to view the pictures. The amount of imagination used in producing some of the balloon designs is often breathtaking.
