Note:  The first two pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©. The local area and area views are from my Google Earth © derived database. The line drawn on the 2018 picture is purely a guess as to where the airstrip may have been situated.

Operated by:   Mr Mark F Newman

Location:  Just S of Ash Tree Road, just E of Kittles Road. About 2nm S of Acle on the A47, roughly 7nm W of Great Yarmouth town centre and 10.5nm E of Norwich city centre

Period of operation:   Unknown?  Perhaps April 1990 to August 1992?

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide' to thank for pointing out this location. It appears that Mr Newman had a strip here for use by his de Havilland Canada DHC.1 Chipmunk T.10 Mk.22 G-AKDN. This was registered to him from April 1990 until August 1992 - but, was it based here? Possibly not as a Chipmunk needs to be hangared and with just two years operation (?) it seems unlikely a hangar was provided?

As always, if anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be welcome. Pictures are always much appreciated.
