Notes:  All four of these pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©

Looking at the latest image on Google Earth (2018) the runways appear both narrower and much better defined.

Location:  About 1nm WNW of Thurgarton, roughly 3nm ESE of Oxton

Period of operation:  1990s (?) to -

Runways:  11/29   290   grass          01/19   300   grass

NOTES:  Without too much doubt, if you want to test your sanity to its limits, a good exercise is to try and list the flying sites in the UK - and attempt to make any sense  of them, find the location, etc, etc.

This is a good example. As you will see from the Google Earth pictures, this site once proudly displayed itself as being OXTON. But, my research appears to show there is another microlight airfield also known as OXTON  (Aka SALTERFORD) - see seperate listing.
