Location: Just W of the B723, between Barnsdale and Croftfoot, about 5nm NNE of Lockerbie town centre

Period of operation:  Unknown?  Probably it appears from 1944 to 1950

Runway:  Unknown? Looking at the illustrations above it seems likely it was a strip aligned 04/22. Although it wouldn't have been this long, it does allow an approach along a line around 600 metres long.

NOTES:  We have Mr Ross Dowie to thank for pointing out this location. Used by Army AOP types to serve local gunnery ranges in the area after WW2. Mike Holder, a great friend of this 'Guide' has provided the maps and Google Street View picture.

If anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
