A MICHAEL T HOLDER GALLERY
We cannot be absolutely certain about which field was used for this display, but Mike has given it a lot of consideration, and only one seems to be the most suitable. If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
The article was published in the Atherstone News and Herald on the 9th June 1933.

NOTES: Sir Alan Cobham was somewhat late in getting involved in organising a major 'Flying Circus' tour, his first being in 1932. But, this blew the socks off the competition, with 174 venues planned. It is so ironic that he detested the term 'Flying Circus', but has gone down in history as being the major exponent of the era.
1933 was the year he and his team excelled. Two tours were planned for that year, the No.1 tour planned to visit 116 venues, including the Republic of Ireland twice! Northern Ireland being included in the first visit. No.2 was planned to visit 161 venues, all on the mainland, including Wales and Scotland. It started at Southend on the 14th April and terminated at Romford, east London on the 8th October.
Incredibly, considering the typically volatile nature of weather in these parts, it appears that virtually all venues were visited on time.
