Note: This lovely evocative picture of the Piper Pawnees of the Lincs Aerial Spraying Co, taken in 1966, was copied from the BOSTON AERO PARK website. The Auster J1/N Alpha G-APKN was registered to the Skegness Air Taxi Service who were, oddly it might seen, based here.

NOTES:
Trying to unravel the history of this site has taken quite a time, but I now think I have it sorted? It is very rare for a single site to be known by five different names but this certainly seems the case here.

It appears probable that Mr Tom Hayes the founding father of the Lincoln Aero Club based his Taylorcraft G-AIRE here from 1951 to 1953?

Without much if any doubt, this location was once known as BOARDSIDES when used for Flying Circus visits in the 1930s. See seperate entry.

It was also listed at one point as being a private airstrip, operated by Mr J Emerson.  Was this also BOSTON or another strip nearby? Any advice on the above will be much appreciated.

Model aircraft flying also took, or still takes place here.
