Bramleys Farm

Note: This map only shows a rough estimate of the position within the UK. If anybody else, (see Notes below), can kindly confirmation this location, this advice will be much appreciated.

BRAMLEY’S FARM: Temporary aerodrome

Operated by: Alan Cobham’s 1932 National Aviation Day UK Display Tour

Location: Old Polo Field, Cockfosters Road, ENFIELD

Period of operation: 15th to 16th May 1932

NOTE: A good friend of mine, Jose McVicar, did some research on my behalf in the Enfield Museum, and the result appears to show that this site was probably Westpole Farm, Bramley Road, Cockfosters. It seems that aircraft are known to have been seen flying from this site.

Further research reveals the WW1 Night Landing Ground (operational from May 1918 to June 1919) at RAF WEST POLE FARM, near Cockfosters. See seperate entry.
