Operated by:  British Hospitals Air Pageant

Location: Just W of the A346, about 1nm SSE of Marlborough town centre

Period of operation:  9th May 1933

NOTES:  The British Hospitals Air Pageant tour of mainland Great Britain in 1933 was organised by Mr Barker and Mr McEwen King, whose names are perhaps not too familiar today? But, they were in fact second in line for organising 'Flying Circus' tours after Sir Alan Cobham. This tour was their first, but they also managed the Sky Devils Air Circus Tour in 1934, the Jubilee Air Displays tour in 1935, the British Empire Air Display tour in 1936 and finally the Coronation Air Displays tour in 1937.

The 1933 tour was their first and largest project, visiting 150 venues. Starting in Luton on the 1st April they displayed as far north as Huntly in ABERDEENSHIRE. The tour ended at WOOLWICH in south east London on the 8th October.
