Cabourne

CABOURNE:   Private helipad -  (Also possibly a location for a private airstrip?)

Location:  In Cabourne village just N of the A46, about 1nm ENE of Caistor village and roughly 9.5nm SW of Grimsby town centre

Period of operation:  Not known exactly. Probably around 2014/15 to -

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide' for pointing out this location. It appears this is the base for the company owned Robinson R44 G-TGTT.

A PRIVATE AIRSTRIP?
Here again we have Graham suggesting the possibility of an airstrip in this vicinity. Mr John Linegar owned the Auster 5/J1 Autocrat G-AIPV, registered to his address of:  The Old Vicarage, Cabourne. The dates being 18.07.61 to 11.01.89. Clearly this provides no proof that he based it near here, but the possibility cannot be discounted.

As is so often the case in producing this 'Guide'. if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
