Operated by: Loch Lomond Seaplanes

Location: On the SW corner of Loch Lomond

Period of operation: Since 2007?

NOTES: Operations in this area started in 2004 using the Cessna T206H, G-OLLS. As the business grew the amphibious Cessna 208 Caravan, G-MDJE was added, the first of its kind operating in the UK. Later, a second amphibious Cessna 208 Caravan 1 was added, G-LAUD (ex N697ZZ), being registered in April 2016.

In 2024 a most unusual promotion took place. Uber, (yes - that Uber), paired up with Loch Lomond Seaplanes to provide thirty minute free flights on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of September in their Cessna Caravan floatplane. A £50 deposit was required, refundable after landing. Might be mistaken of course, but I think this particular method of 'advertising' was/is unique?

These two very nice views of G-LAUD, taken by Sean Murphy, were published in Glasgow Live in September 2024.
