A MICHAEL T HOLDER GALLERY

In June 2022, I had asked Mike if he could kindly find a 'period' picture to help illustrate this listing. Imagine my delight to discover these offerings.

NOTE: Please take note that the Polish aircrews, or should I say squadrons (?), were invariably given worn out and second-class aircraft. As were, as often as not, the Australians, Canadians, New Zealanders and other crews from the Dominions.

Today, as can be seen, nothing remains to be seen of this airfield. Unlike the majority of RAF bases in this region, this remained a grass airfield, with most of the others being provided with hard runways.
