CASQUETS LIGHTHOUSE: Helipads

Note:  This untypically poor quality image was obtained from Google Earth ©. But it is the only one I can find.

Location: About 4-5nm W of Alderney

Landing areas:It appears, that in recent years at least, there have been two helipads. One on top of the SW tower and the other on an area of flat rock.

The square helipad on the SW tower shows up well enough, but the location of the other helipad is purely a guess. The roughly circular area I have marked seems to make sense. It is quite large and therefore suitable for off-loading larger items, and I assume, also more suitable for use if strong winds are blowing from the prevailing sou-westerly direction, and possibly offering a small degree of shelter?
