Location: Just SE of Cripps Corner, about 3.5nm NE of Battle and about 3.5nm SE of Robertsbridge

Period of operation: 1990s (?) to -

Runway:   580  grass. This has a bit of a bend in it, the northern 'half' being about 355 metres, 03/21, the southern 'half' being about 225 metres, 02/20.

Note: Although as a general rule runways tend to be in a straight line, some aren't. I well remember flying over an airfield in Germany which had a far more pronounced bend. And of course, this is not at all a problem with light aircraft and gliders.

NOTES: Initial info source AAIB report EW/C97/9/4.

Sometimes referred to as GATTS GREEN FARM, which took a bit of sorting out. If anybody can kindly offer more advice, this will be most welcome.

Perhaps a tad oddly, there does not seem to be any evidence of a hangar here. Despite it being a 'well proportioned' airstrip.
