NOTES: Venue for C. D. Barnard Air Tours   (13th to 14th May 1931), for the ‘Tour of the UK’. They returned here on the 14th August.

Venue, (5th to 6th June 1932) for Alan Cobham’s National Aviation Day UK Display Tour.

A venue such as this would have been highly regarded by the 'Flying Circus' operators. Presumably costing a fraction of the fee demanded by Bath Racecourse, just across the road to the west? The existing establishment of transport links, needed for race days, could I suppose, also be employed at reasonable cost?
