Military user: US First Army ‘V’ Corps, Ist Infantry Division, (Artillery HQ),58th Armed Field Battalion
 

Location: S of the A31, about 1.5nm SW of sturminster Marshall and roughly 5.5nm SSE of Blandford Forum town centre

Period of operation: 1944/5 only?
 

NOTES: It appears that nine Piper L-4 Grasshoppers and one Stinson L-5 Sentinel were based here during the run-up to D-Day, and then beyond.
