Operated by: Lord London’s Estate

Location: W of the A429, about 2nm NE of Malmesbury

Period of operation: From the 1990s (?) to -

Runways: I had seen this lovely airfield when flying in the area many years ago, and the single runway in those days looked long, possibly 1000 metres or so and angled  SW/NE. Looking at this site on ‘Google Earth’ it seems very plain to see, in 2012, that two grass runways were now laid out. One 07/25  890 metres long, and another, roughly half the width, 12/30 720 metres long

2021:  08/26   890   grass          01/19   800   grass

2023:  08/26   890   grass

NOTES: The Beagle Bulldog G-BULL, (flown in the colours of the Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force as HKG-5), was based here in 2012.

If anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated. Pictures are most welcome too, and, now becoming something of an anorak in my old age, I do wonder which aircraft have been based here?
