Church Crookham

CHURCH CROOKHAM: Military helipad/landing area

Aerial view
Aerial view

Note: This picture (1999) was obtained from Google Earth ©

Location: In the Queen Elizabeth Barracks, just S of  Church Crookham centre. Roughly 2.5nm WNW of Aldershot town centre.

Period of operation: ?

NOTES:  These barracks were opened in the 1930s and closed in 2002. This 1999 picture shows no obvious signs of a marked helicopter operating area - but possibly there never was one?

If anybody can kindly offer advice regarding helicopter operations at the barracks, this will be most welcome.
