Note: This map simply shows the location of Cobham village within the UK. If anybody could kindly provide a more exact position for the Army airstrip, this advice will be most welcome.

I presently live in Southend in Essex but am looking to move home into one of the three counties above and am looking to either acquire an airstrip or airfield or live very close to one. I note that Monewden air strip in Suffolk is not on your list. Would I therefore be correct in assuming that you are not including small private air strips on your list? Hi Adrian, Many thanks for getting in touch. Small private airfields and strips are most certainly included and indeed, I already have several hundred listed going back to the 1920s. However, this 'Guide' is far from complete and I have several hundred more listings to add. I shall now look at Monewden. Best regards, Dick
