NOTES:  It is probably worth mentioning once again, that these air display venues all had to be officially licensed aerodromes - even if used for just one day - which the majority were by the major tour operators in the 1930s. At the start two men from the Ministry would inspect the site, drive across it in their car to assess its suitability, and quite often impose restrictions. Later, the more responsible operators were allowed to become, as it were 'self-licencing', but the mInistry still had to be informed in advance of the display.

Sir Alan Cobham's National Aviation Day 1934 Tour was planned to visit 159 venues. It commenced at CENTRAL PARK, Dagenham in Essex on the 14th April and terminated at MAYLANDS aerodrome near Romford, also in Essex, on the 30th September. It ranged far and wide across mainland Britain, including Wales and Scotland. COCKINGTON FARM was the 102nd venue.
