Location:  About 2.5nm NE of Chipping Norton

Period of operation:  1970s to 1983

Only ever used as a very occasional private landing strip & not a commercial gliding site at any time.

The club - of which I was a member - met at weekends and bank holidays. The CFI was Derek Godfrey, assisted by his wife Jean. We had an antiquated fleet, T21, Olympia 3b, Weihe and a Grunau Baby, if I remember rightly. Around 1983 we had to move, and the club re-formed at Edgehill. I moved to Holland and lost touch at this point. Regards.. Chris
