Conquest Hospital

CONQUEST HOSPITAL:  Helipad

The helipad in July 2018
The helipad in July 2018

This picture was taken by the author. Enquiries revealed that is seldom used.

Location: Roughly N of Hastings town centre

Period of operation: ?

NOTES: Clearly the fact that this helipad is seldom used is good news - they rarely appear to have extreme emergencies in this region. Nevertheless, the fact that this helipad has obviously been neglected by the hospital, and not clearly marked when seen from the air, appears to reveal a degree of negligence? The whole point being that in the rare event of a patient needing to be delivered by helicopter when minutes can be vital to save a life, the helipad should be clearly marked, and seen from as far as possible.

The normal practice is to mark the site out, with an 'H' in white.
