Note: Both of these pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©

Location: Just E of the A354, just S of Coombe Bissett village and about 3nm SW of Salisbury city centre

Period of operation:  Unknown ? Possibly just late 1980s to early 1990s

Runway:  Unknown, but almost certainly in the field south and west of the filling station

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide' for pointing out this location.

It really is a most interesting site, with so little appearing to be known about it? The facility was just behind a filling station on the A354 - now gone.

This said, delving around on the interweb, the Air Britain Photo Library, ABPic, has several pictures of aircraft taken here, mostly being restored rather than maintained? The rather odd feature being that they were all taken between 1988 and 1990.

If anybody can kindly offer more advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
