Location:  Just S and E of the Pentre-poeth Road and WSW of Bassaleg. About 3.5nm WSW of Newport city centre

Period of operation:  2007 to -


Runway:  This is very interesting if not unique. The Google Earth © 2006 picture above clearly shows a 700 metre runway being laid out.

NOTES:  I have to thank Mr Karel Adams, a great friend of this 'Guide' for pointing out this airstrip. One feature which is most unusual, if not unique in the UK is that the aircraft, (probably a Robin R3000?), is taxied along the farm access road to its parking spot.  

The Robin R3000/160 G-PAVL was based here from July 2007 until August 2018.

As always in this 'Guide' if anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
