Datchet Golf Course

Note: I am of course assuming that the position of this Golf Course hasn't changed since 1910 or thereabouts. Advice on this will be most welcome.

DATCHET GOLF COURSE: Temporary landing ground

NOTES: It appears that during 1910 at least, (possibly in later years?), ‘Tommy’ Sopwith quite often used to land on the golf course to have coffee with his sister at a local hotel. These visits attracted large crowds and it seems these flying activities by Mr Sopwith came to the attention of King George V; hence the invitation for Mr Sopwith to land on the east lawn at Windsor Castle.
