De Beers helipad

HOLBORN: Private helipad

Aerial view
Aerial view

Note:  This picture (2011) was obtained from Google Earth ©

Operated by: De Beers diamond merchants

Location: In Charterhouse Street, just W of Farringdon Road

Landing area: On top of De Beers building in Charterhouse Street

NOTES: I have stood in Farringdon Road and watched a helicopter landing here. As I understand it, and I might well be mistaken; when a shipment of diamonds arrives in the UK, presumably at HEATHROW (?), they are then air-lifted to Holborn by helicopter.

If this is correct, where does the helicopter operate from at HEATHROW?
