Note:  The first picture was obtained from Google Earth ©. The local area view is from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location: Just W of the Lawrence Kellet Playing Field. Just SW of Dowlish Wake village, about 1.25nm SE of Ilminster town centre

Period of operation:  Mid 1990s

Runway:  Assuming there was a strip, (unlikely?):   About -   13/31   250   grass

NOTES:  Ever since the earliest days in powered aviation pilots have been making visits to friends and relatives, into unprepared fields. They still do.

In this case, Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide'. just happened to be passing by in search of local airstrips, when he saw the Jodel D.112 Club, G-BHFF, (ex F-BEKJ), taking off. As he says, "Looked very tight".
