Note: This map only shows the general location within the UK. This event presumably took place from one of several large parks available in the vicinity. If anybody could be kind enough to offer advice on this, it will be most welcome.
EARLSDON: Multiple balloon launching site
Location: Roughly 2nm SW of Coventry city centre
NOTES: A balloon meet was planned to be held here in May 2005. Assuming this occurred the spectacle of many balloons ascending together takes some beating and is very much a feature of the UK aviation scene in the twenty-first century reflecting the enormous interest shown for this type of aviation which has been taking place in the UK for over two hundred years.
