East Horndon

Note: This map only gives my estimation of where this site may have been located. Any advice and information will be most welcome.

EAST HORNDON: Joy-ride site primarily?

Location: Opposite The Halfway House on the A.127 Arterial Road. East Hordon isn’t listed on my modern road maps but West Hornden is. (It does feature on Google maps however). It seems quite reasonable to suppose this ‘airfield’ was very close to the A.127 and A128 junction

Period of operation: 1930s only?

NOTES: The twists and turns of researching aviation history rarely make much sense and are rarely logical. I learnt about the possible existence of this ‘Joy-ride’ site because it appears a ‘Flying Flea’ type often visited!
