Note:  The aerial view was obtained from Google Earth ©. The local area view and area view is from my Google Earth © derived database.

Operated by: R C Wilkinson Farms

Location: N of the A64, just NE of East Knapton village, 0.5nm E of A64/B1258 junction, about 6nm NE of Malton town centre

Period of operation: 1970s & 1980s only?

Runway:  Unknown?    Perhaps -   15.33   650   grass

Note: Looking at the fields on Google Earth around the farm, this location for a runway close to Guild House Farm, stands out as being ideal for operating a Cessna 172 from. Clear approaches at both ends and quite long enough, especially if not fully loaded. But, it is, just my guess.

NOTES: In the mid 1970s it seems the Reims Cessna FR.172J Skyhawk, G-BCTK was based here. Later the Reims Cessna F172H Skyhawk G-AZZP (ex LN-RTA), was based here, registered to R C Wilkinson Farms from 04.10.80 to 21.11.83. Perhaps there was another, or others, in between?

As always in this 'Guide', if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be most welcome.
