Eastbach Farm

Note: This map gives the location of EASTBACH (SPENCE) airfield, which is a well established concern. This 'Guide' has never been devoted to revealing the exact locations of private airstrips, unless the owner agrees. However, since Google Earth came out, it can be rather satisfying to sometimes provide an exact location.

It often seems to me that today, given the technology available, owners of private airstrips should enjoy the contribution they make to the very rich diversity of aviation history which sets our country apart from all others. I think they fear unexpected arrivals by ignorant and unscrupulous pilots, (and there are a few around), but this is strictly forbidden unless PPR (Prior Permission Required) has been granted.

EASTBACH FARM: Private airstrip

Operated by: Mr Anthony Liddiard

Location: Just S/W of EASTBACH ‘SPENCE’ AIRFIELD

Period of operation: 1979 to –

Runway: E/W   450   grass (on steep slope with approach from valley).
