EASTBOURNE DISTRICT GENERAL HOSPITAL:  Helipad

Note: These pictures were taken by the author, in the drizzle, in July 2018.

Location: On the NW corner of the site, just W of the A2021, and roughly 1.5nm NNW of Eastbourne town centre

NOTES: This hospital helipad is probably the best in the region. Large and well lit for night operations.

In 2018 it appears a RAF Chinook landed here to prove it could be used as a diversion or precautionary landing site for this type. But, obviously being neglected in terms of being clearly marked out.
