Note:  All these pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©

Operated by: Highland Gliding Club since 1991
Note: Apparently also used by the Fulmer Gliding Club associated with the RAF.

Location: Roughly about 3nm S of Elgin town centre

Runway: 09/27   grass
Note: In recent years logged as 08/26, 950x100 reducing to 35 at the SW end. The first two thirds of the landing area from the NE end are recommended for landing on. (And presumably from taking-off from!)

NOTES: Info source AAIB report EW/G2004/12/07. It would appear that aircraft using this strip often landed in other directions rather than stick to using the 09/27 ‘runway’ making it more an ‘all-over’ type of airfield. A look at the site of Google Earth seems to make this claim rather unlikely.
