Location:  Just E of Edney Common, S of the A414, and about 3nm SW of Chelmsford town centre

Period of operation:  2007 to 2009

Runways:   01/19   640   grass              09/27   300   grass

NOTES:  This is a very unusual case. It is of course quite usual for a farm strip to be laid out for just one year, but rarely if ever in the way this was - with two runways. Having looked at hundreds of farm strips for many years, this has all the hallmarks of a site being set up for many years of serious operation. Yet it only existed for three years.

Presumably there is a story to this? Any advice will be much appreciated.
