The advert, placed in the Bury Free Press on the 29th May 1920, has been divided into two parts to make the text easier to read. Both of the short articles were published in The Aeroplane, item One on the 23rd June, item Two on the 30th June 1920. To make one very minor point, article One states the Central Aircraft Company operated during the second week in June. The 1st to 5th of June, being, (I'm pretty certain), the first week in June.

NOTES:  In compiling this 'Guide' we, myself helped by many kind contributors, are very keen to discover as many locations as possible during the inter-war years, (1919 to 1939), used by what soon became known as 'Flying Circus' operators. Invariably they used convenient fields rented from obliging farmers for their short term displays. In the beginning these were usually quite low-key affairs, often with just one or two aircraft available. Later, especially during the 1930s, even if used for just one day, a fleet of a dozen or more aircraft would be assembled.

Hi Eldo Farm is just outside Bury-St-Edmunds Suffolk. This was a Cobbold Farm. (My grand father cousin. early 1900s ) There are/we're lots of industrial sites on there a pub and air field. I believe it is now being developed and will join in with Moreton Hall Retail Park.Xxx
