The first picture was obtained from Google Earth ©. The local area view is from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location:  Just N of the A46, just SE of Farndon and about 2nm SW of Newark town centre

Period of operation:  About 2022 only?

Runway:  04/22   280   grass

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location. And, to be fair, he does ask if this really is an airstrip?

My approach is to revert back to basics, established I think, (but don't quote me), by the ancient Greek philosophers: "If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and waddles like a duck - ipso facto - it probably actually is a duck. The picture above certainly has all the hallmarks of a laid out airstrip.

One thing I have learnt over the years is that in the years since WW2, a great many airstrips have been laid out, (or should I say mowed?), for use during just one year. This appears to be a good example?

As always, if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
