Flecknoe

Note: This map only provides the position of Flecknoe village within the UK.

FLECKNOE: Private helipad

Location: In/near Flecknoe village about 1nm N of the A425 and roughly 3nm W to WNW of Daventry town centre

NOTES: For obvious reasons I don’t include most private helipads but there are so many at least a few must be located to bear witness to these sites. My interest to this site was the AAIB report EW/G2005/07/35 involving a very low hours helicopter pilot flying a Bell 206B Jet Ranger III.

Speaking from ignorance of course, being a fixed-wing pilot, I couldn’t believe a pilot with such little flying experience could legally fly such a complex machine, but it seems they can!
