Note: This map only gives the position of Frettenham village within the UK. If anybody can kindly provide a more exact location for the airfield, this advice will be most welcome. 



FRETTENHAM: Military Landing Ground

Military users: RFC (Royal Flying Corps) and RAF (Royal Air Force) 

51 [Home Defence] Sqdn    (Royal Aircraft Factory B.E.2s & B.E.12s)
Note: Later the Avro 504k type was used for night flying training.
 

Location: In/near Frettenham, about 2nm SW of Coltishall town

Period of operation: 1916 to 1919
 

Site area: 55 acres      434 x 457
