Location: 1nm ENE of Ingatestone, 4.5nm SSW of Chelmsford town centre

Period of operation: From at least 1988 to 2008/9?
 

Runway:  13/31   385   grass


NOTES:  The 2010 picture shows the site being dismantled. If anybody can kindly offer more information and advice about this strip, this will be most welcome.

Fristling hall farm airstrip is no longer in operation and agricultural buildings have been built on the site.Some time ago there was a fatal accident there involving a microlight.Also a while ago I had an old road atlas that showed gliding at Great Rollright but have not found any other info on this.Well done on an interesting site.
