Fritton Lake

FRITTON LAKE:  Seaplane landing site

The Aviat Husky G-WATR on Fritton Lake
The Aviat Husky G-WATR on Fritton Lake

Location: S & E of Fritton village, S of the A143 and roughly 6nm SSW of Great Yarmouth town centre

NOTES: This is interesting; in the May 2017 issue of Light Aviation magazine there is picture (scanned above) of the Aviat Husky amphibian, G-WATR, on FRITTON LAKE. I imagine that permission to land here must be a relatively recent development as inland water landing sites in England have been few and far between since WW2 - unlike Scotland where nearly all Lochs can be used.

Indeed, up until discovering this location, the only other sites I can think of, (that can or could be regularly used), were HICKLING BROAD also in NORFOLK,  BEWL WATER and SCOTNEY COURT - both in KENT.
